About us

About us,

Écorché is an independent clothing project centered around anatomy, structure, and pattern making.

The name originates from the artistic practice of écorché—the study of the human body with the skin removed, revealing the architecture beneath. Not as an act of exposure, but as a way of understanding form at its deepest level.

Rather than beginning with trends or conventional silhouettes, each piece starts as a study. Muscles, skeletal structures, natural tension lines, industrial forms, and organic systems are translated into patterns, seam placements, and construction methods. The goal is not to replicate reality, but to reinterpret it through clothing.

Pattern making sits at the center of the process. Many garments are built from dozens of individual panels, developed to create movement, depth, and structure that cannot be achieved through standard construction. Every seam exists with intention.

Materials and surface treatments are approached with the same mindset. Dyeing, waxing, coating, painting, and textural experimentation are used not to conceal the fabric, but to reveal new dimensions within it. Imperfections, variations, and evidence of process are embraced as part of the final work.

Each piece is created as an exploration of form—where anatomy meets garment construction, and where clothing becomes a medium for study rather than decoration.

Écorché is a continuous investigation into what exists beneath the surface.
